That is wild! So dope. If your personal best is at 10km then you flew in 2x less dense air. respect

Pretty awesome flight! Hair-raising moments coming down but spectacular views nonetheless.

I was thinking could you extend your transmitter antenna break safe put it on a balloon or attach it to a kite to get more range is there a way to do that it's probably a crazy idea?

I though about building a second plane for communications, a very basic plane with a ZOHD Kopilot FC. Onboard will be an fpv reciever to recieve the signals from my long range plane and relay them directly into another VTX transmitting on a different frequency, which will be picked up my headset. All that is needed is to put the communications plane into RTH and let it circle above autonomously. Could be very useful is you live near mountains or lots of trees

18A with a LiIon battery is not a problem? Great flight!

Man, this is amazing may I know how much cost it is required to make this plane.

Did you use only 22000 mah 6s to fly at 7800 km altitude, in one hour and 40 minutes with 2 motors?
@andybor2453 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I used only one 6S5P 21700 battery for this flight
@icesteve516 Жыл бұрын
@@andybor2453 But in total it's only 22000mah? I used ecalc which is an online configuration software to see how the batteries behave and I don't think I would ever be able to achieve such a flight autonomy with such a heavy load.
@icesteve516 Жыл бұрын
@@andybor2453 I would also like to build a long range configuration but I immediately took it for granted that with 2 engines I would not be able to have such a prolonged autonomy.

Why didn't you measure the temperature? We know it's eternal winter up there, of course, but seeing this live is another matter. Or how about tying a bottle of water to the plane, flying it in this height or even higher - and than landing it frozen, all covered in frost and steaming with cold fog, in the plain heat of summer with 30+ celsius or 90+ Fahrenheit?
@andybor24533 жыл бұрын
You can see Temperature sensor in the right bottom corner. It is showing -17 celsius on 7000m altitude. For some reason Vector doesn't show more :-( Your idea regarding tying a bottle is interesting. Will try to realize it, but it will be next year maybe.
@mysteriumvitae53383 жыл бұрын
@@andybor2453 I think the temperature sensor might be not scaled lower than -17 because, well - -17,8°C are 0°F. I don't know in which country it is made.But I do know Westerners sometimes honestly think nobody will ever need to measure lower than 0°F because there is no colder than that in nature (in their world of practically absent winters, yes).
@andybor24533 жыл бұрын
@@mysteriumvitae5338 Maybe you are right. At least you shed some light on this pazzl. This is EagleTree Vector, and it is made in USA :-)
@mysteriumvitae53383 жыл бұрын
@@andybor2453 The perfect place for this kind of thinking :) They think in °F, which has its zero at -17,8°C, as I already said. And quite a part of the USA actually never experiences any colder than that, so they do just fine with outdoor thermometers ending at this point :) (Although freezers are some degrees colder than that, but it's another matter and people actually rarely put thermometers IN there)

Why coming back is the problem ?

Because of this is not easy to get back against wind with empty battery. Especially when distance to home is more than 28km. :-)

Wait what you mean (except) from altitude, the place where you were standing and the place where the plane was is 28 km measured horizontally?
