Hello, yes, you can select several walls and change the material in the Object Materials tab of the Inspector. Here is the short video illustrating this: share.getcloudapp.com/xQu799LX

Is there a way to apply grout between tiles?
@LiveHome3D
@LiveHome3D 4 ай бұрын
Hello. Our materials use images for textures, so to achieve a grout effect, you will need to draw the grout lines on the tile image itself. Once you have created the image with the grout, you can import it into Live Home 3D and use it as a texture for custom materials.

I want matte floor tiles, not so reflective. Your choices are all polished, and I can't find a "reflectivity" control in the materials editor. Is there a way to fix this?
@LiveHome3D
@LiveHome3D Жыл бұрын
Hi. "Reflectivity" can be adjusted with the Roughness slider in the Material Editor: www.livehome3d.com/support/help/mac/en/working-with-materials-editing-materials

Is there an option to have multiple tiles on a single surface? or to randomise tiling position so that it looks more natural (IE porcelain tiles in a bathroom aren't all the same or have the same pattern)
@LiveHome3D
@LiveHome3D 7 ай бұрын
Hello. There is no option to randomize the tiling position, because you’re applying the material’s texture to the surface, which is a raster image in the end. To create custom tiling, please add new materials with custom textures to the Library. Alternatively, you can use wall panels to apply tiles to the wall partially.

@@LiveHome3D Hello and thank you for your reply. I did create my custom tile, but of course that looks unnatural as the marble veins are always the same if the material is just based on one picture. I did try with wall panels but you either end up with vertical/horizontal repetitive patterns or you have to create loads of panels in the same size of the tile which can be time consuming and fidgety. It would be cool if there was an option to use several materials on one wall, but I am not technical so not sure if that can be achieved with an update. Many thanks!

@@QMusicUK Thanks for your suggestion! We will review it for the future.

@@QMusicUK You can try merging the pictures in a graphics editor, and then use the resulting image as a texture. Currently, we can't guarantee that a 2D image editor will be added to the material editor in the future. This needs some more research.

@@LiveHome3D yes! That’s a good idea for a workaround! I thought of that a few days ago but don’t yet know how to, or which one to use that doesn’t cost a fortune.

the only two things live home 3D/pro needs to improve on is allowing users to add a service/electrical plan to the project as Artists will need it in various parts of the world before they can get their plans approved...... and please try and make the roofing a bit easier to use, the auto-roofing thing is pretty complicated......

Hello Romaine, thanks for your feedback! I’ve sent it to the Product Manager. We are currently working on video tutorials explaining how to build roofs. We are going to release one of these videos this week.

What does the whole thing look like with carpets? I would like to place a round beautiful carpet, how to do it?
@LiveHome3D
@LiveHome3D 3 жыл бұрын
Hello, thanks for contacting us! To add a round carpet, please use a cylinder shape, available in the Shapes section of the Object Library, then apply a carpet texture to this shape.
