it’s cool to see a photographer traveling with kids and still doing your hobby. sometimes I worry that having kids would be the end of doing some things I consider fun
@BelindaShi10 ай бұрын
Incorporate kids to be involved in your passion/hobby early so they get used to it. Our kids have traveled to 30+ countries over 5 continents so far and it's the best learning experience for all of us.

@@BelindaShi I wanted to correct Nicolas' statement above. This is much more than your "hobby". You are a consummate pro, and I have learned so much from this first video I have found of yours. Thank You.

My wife and I have traveled extensively over the past 15 years since we retired. I used to try too hard to eliminate any people when I was trying to photograph subjects in crowded places. As the Beatles advised, I’ve learned to Let it Be. Now I photograph a scene as I see it, trying of course, to be creative with it. Having a goal of including no crowds or people is frustrating and almost impossible these days. Work with what you have and be creative with it. Thanks for the informative video.

Hallo Belinda! Thank you for sharing, your photos are VERY good, and the models seems to be really professionals. One major part of your lecture is actually to think and plan ahead of pressing the famous click-button. What struck me, watching the very good clip, is. How to make some semi-good vacation pics (shot in the moment and without considerations)to really good photographic memories? I mean - How do we treat them in post to "re-engineer" the really good photograps..?
@BelindaShi9 ай бұрын
Glad you like my photos. They were all shot in the moment and my boys are not models. As I said 6:55 The more you practice, the more these photo tips will become second nature to you. Your second half of the question is about whether you can use post processing to create a good photo. My take is: post processing is used to enhance a good photo not to fix a bad photo. Hope this helps

Sure. I shoot RAW only and all my photos are edited. With a few seconds or up to a minute for most photos. As a traveler, I maximize my time traveling and spending time with family. Getting the photos right in the camera is far important than relying on retouching.
