Belize City - Walking To The ferry (2/2) December 2016
I arrived in Belize City and walked to the ferry terminal to see where it was and to buy a ticket.
Belize was the last country for me to visit before I could say I have been to every country in the Americas. Although I have only been in Venezuela for 4 hours.

Where were taken on very long walk which could have been dangerous, because where you were when you ask was much closer than he take you.next time fallow your mind.

Yes, I keep that in mind. I took many risks to make videos in places that people wouldn't do. I think that is still a good idea for KZbin content, but not exactly safe.

That guy with the bike lied to you. He took you the long way on purpose. You could’ve easily just continue walking down straight instead of the way he said. He seemed nice and probably just wanted to show you around but it could’ve been dangerous, especially in areas you don’t know.

Yeah, I didn't believe it either. He asked me for $20. I settled at $5. I could have been mean and said no. It goes to show people here are not friendly for free. But in Caye Caulker I did meet some nice people that didn't want anything from me. When I was at the bad The Lazy Lizard, the girls in the video actually started talking to me and sat next to me. I never got to see them again though.

That area that you were in is plague by high employment and other social ills. Please do not think that most Belizeans are like that gentleman whom followed you around only to ask you for money because that is simply not true. Jobs and economic opportunities are very scarce for certain segments of the population, such as the old and the very young; he happens to fall into one of the categories.

Richard Burns For me my favorite place in Belize was Cayenne Caulker. Many people just talked to me to have a conversation and welcome the tourist. They didn't want anything from me at all.

My point was that this was someone with a hustle to get a few bucks from tourist. This is a common in many tourist so called " hot spots" , be it a someone selling trinkets to a shack on the side of the road or selling food. Belize is " third world " country. I am from there, and things are very different in Belize, depending on geographic location as you have experience that the people on the Cayes do not expect anything in return for their kindness. This is actually true for most of Belize. We are use to expecting tourist and to respect them and welcome them. You were only there for perhaps a week. I was there for twelve years.

I haven't lived in Belize for 12 years, but I have been travelling for over 20 years and about 70 countries. I think I learned a thing or two. I've been to many more places than I have video of. I just started taking video about 2015.
