The Bell 429 GlobalRanger is a light, twin-engine helicopter developed by Bell Helicopter. The first flight of the prototype took place on February 27, 2007, and the aircraft received type certification on July 1, 2009.
The Bell 429 has a four-blade rotor system with soft-in-plane flex beams. The rotor blades are composite and have swept tips for reduced noise. The tail rotor is made by stacking two two-blade rotors set at uneven intervals (to form an X) for reduced noise. A set of rear clamshell doors under the tailboom is optional for easier patient loading in EMS operations.

Le Bell 429 GlobalRanger est un hélicoptère bimoteur léger développé par Bell Helicopter. Le premier vol du prototype a eu lieu le 27 février 2007 et l'avion a reçu sa certification de type le 1er juillet 2009.
Le Bell 429 dispose d'un système de rotor à quatre pales avec des poutres flexibles souples dans le plan. Les pales du rotor sont composites et ont des pointes balayées pour réduire le bruit. Le rotor de queue est constitué de l'empilement de deux rotors à deux pales disposés à intervalles irréguliers (pour former un X) pour réduire le bruit. Un ensemble de portes arrière à clapet sous la poutre de queue est facultatif pour faciliter le chargement des patients lors des opérations EMS.

C’est vrai que le fenestron donne un super look aux helicos. Mais ça change un peu du coup de voir des helicos qui n’en sont pas équipés 🙂
