I've always just figured if Shane saw undeniable proof, he'd be scared af, but I also think that seeing Shane of all people genuinely scared would be the moment Ryan would just... evaporate from this plane of existence in terror. Cause lbr, having the skeptical/unafraid buddy is sort of calming in itself, no matter how scared YOU are, so take that away, and it's chaos. It'd make for damn good television, though.

Apple taters are actually a thing. When I was in Germany I was fed potato pancakes with apple sauce for dipping on multiple occasions. And I think they even put shredded apple in the potato pancakes but it's been too long to remember

Tbh I know this woman personally and some of the stories are very real (i.e. the window in the attic that people have jumped out of or almost jumped out of) but I'm pretty sure the dog story was sleep paralysis. Which sleep paralysis can be brought on by spirits, but yeah. That's my working theory with knowing the family.
