With the land was declared “Forever Wild” by the New York State Forest Preserve in 1885, it wasn't until 1929 the first skiers descended Belleayre Mountain. Since that time, a long series of milestones in innovation and increasing popularity was coupled with careful attention to environmental preservation, resulting in the beautiful Belleayre of today.
