Watching Sanne help direct the video from the start, it must’ve been so much fun making this video. And that camping location on your last night… does it get any better😍😍 Great team🚴♀️🚴♀️😊

It got her a bit to get used to the camera, but I thought that made it more fun! She was also SUPER patient with all the stops and trusted my judgement on this. Luckily, with years of experience now, I have a trained eye and know what I want to film without wasting much time. And totally! The last camping spot was a massive goodbye gift. =)

Nice video about great bikepacking trip and friendship. Also realised how much I miss summer bikepacking trips in the middle of Scandinavian winter. Winter bikepacking is nice, but looses hands down when compared to bikepacking in summer ...

Thanks a lot! Summer is just another level. We haven't ridden in Scandinavia since 2017 and were talking about maybe returning this year. I really hope we can make it happen. I guess we will all have to wait for summer again. =)

Tyre tip: after patching the tube, run your finger around the inside of the tyre to see if a thorn is still poking through. One always remembers this after the repaired tube is inflated inside the tyre.
@kobrapelle3 күн бұрын
Thank You, I loved it!
@timschaefer45583 күн бұрын
One can buy tubes that allow for sealant to be injected into them. Sealants can easily handle those small punchers. Just try to remove the seed that caused the hole.
@BelleToscan3 күн бұрын
Oh really? I was planning to just go tubeless on the next one. Unless you have a dramatic cut on the tire, it seems relatively easy to fix (if the sealant doesn't do it on its own).

¡Oh qué guay! Muchas gracias.

It's really beautiful video, very well made and great storytelling! Respect on doing that. Long dream of mine to do it as well on Sardinia. What was your route? I was also curious if shepherd's dogs are always that friendly or what were your strategy around them, or in general around animals in the wild?
@BelleToscanКүн бұрын
Sardinia is a wonderful island to cycle both inland and by the coastline, though it depends on what style you like most as the coastline is very limited to trails or asphalt. I haven't published the route as it wasn't anything official, we improvised our way around. The dogs are no problem at all there. They were all friendly and just wanted to say hello, so we always stopped to greet them. As soon as they identify you as a human, it's all OK. =)

Hi Belle. Thanks for a wonderful video. Have you put the route on Komoot as with yours and Tristan's other videos?
@BelleToscan3 күн бұрын
Hello! This one I kept private since we mostly wandered around the island and followed no set route. Nevertheless, Tristan will be sharing the revised version of the TranSardinia next week on bikepacking.com! Totally worth checking that one out. If you want ours, send me an email and I'll be happy to forward it to you privately.

I share the same anxieties about bikepacking with someone else. Thanks for giving voice to that.
@BelleToscan3 күн бұрын
Honestly, you never know if you'll be a good match! And for me, the speed thing is so crucial. I want to cycle at a pace I enjoy and don't want to feel like a drag to other people who might want to go faster. But if you find someone who's similarly fast or doesn't mind waiting, then it's great!

Not the distance to cover😅..but the freedom..thanks for the wise advice- sometimes I also want to enjoy the freedom on my way, to pause and enjoy the scenery and innermost harmony 😊- finally I’ve met something unique within us - keep the good spirit, I’m also working on my Bikepacking adventures, you’re so inspiring- stay blessed
@BelleToscan4 күн бұрын
I mean... Distance is important if you are in a tight situation (like running out of food or water, or being chased by a storm). But otherwise... I'd rather travel without the pressure of having to hit a goal! That's why a really enjoy bringing a tent with me since, if we don't reach a town, you can just stop and call it a day wherever you are. Wishing you love bike adventures ahead!

I was working in Sardegna (Orosei) for few months in summer time, we were using bike to get to the work. I am cycling about 10 years, but I get more than 50% of my flat tires in Sardegna in only 2-3 months :D Literally was repairing flat tire every second day :D BTW Enjoyed video, nice country, nice footage!
@BelleToscan2 күн бұрын
No way! Funny thing is that Sanne had absolutely no flat and she was rolling on thinner, smoother tires. I guess I just got unlucky and went over the wrong bush. Loved the ice cream at Orosei!
