Bellowhead - Gosport Nancy

I’m from Gosport and used to see Cyril Tawney at Gosport Folk club. Not sure when but early 70’s I think. His family ( going back ) lived round the corner from me. He wrote many fine songs and I urge. You all to look him up . Thanks Cyril....from a Gosport Sally.

Came across this song in Cyril's book "Blue Funnel Lines" over 20 years ago. First time l heard it was on a Bellowhead CD. Great song, definitely written by someone in the RN judging by the line "Gosport Ladies goes their Tot". Lived in HMS Sultan for a few months in 2003 while working in the Naval Base. Took the Gosport Ferry every day. Great days.
