Bellroy Note Sleeve | Long Term Review of my Everyday Carry

This is a very short review, but having also currently owning this wallet for five years at this point, you do a great job at quickly summarising it. My experience is pretty much identical, except I keep my wallet in my side pocket, and I like to keep a few (but not many) coins in the coin department. With that in mind, my wallet looks pretty similar to yours except a different colour. I've been very happy with my wallet and have no complaints what so ever, but personally I'd prefer it to be narrower. In your review you covered foreign currency. I had no idea that this had been taken into consideration. I appreciate this, and this may conflict with my "narrower" mention. If it does, then I entirely understand why the wallet is the size it is, and support it. In summery, Since mid 2019, I have been enjoying my Bellroy Note Sleeve as well. Good video!

I got a burnt orange one 5 years ago and I love it.. Unfortunately they don't have burnt orange anymore but they have a new color called charcoal cobalt... grey with blue on the inside. Pretty awesome think I'm gonna order that

I am impressed with how well the note sleeve has held up to two years of constant carry. That alone moves me towards purchasing one. As for look of the wallet...Patina is nothing more than a fancy name for "dirt and oil"...from your hands and parts unknown. Sure it gives a wallet character, yet there is something to be had for cleaning leather on a regular basis. Take an automobile for example...a shinny leather seat implies unclean and not well maintained.

Yea I've been really happy with how well it has held up. I've tried a bunch of other wallets but I constantly come back to the Note Sleeve

Nope nothing at all

I do. Helps maintain the sheen and prevent cracking. When you live in a tropical country as I do (Jamaica), leather tends to dry out quickly.

Why is so shiny sir tryin to get same color as yours is that regular black or obsidian ?

it's the navy blue color. But they don't make it anymore. Also the look has changed due to the patina after years of daily carry

Does this card shape show on the outside of the wallet when it is closed ?

not really. The way the leather wears you can kind of see a little bit of outline if you look really hard

I am planning on buying the black version, is it really durable ? Are the threads in place ? Has it ever gotten wet ? Any flaws ?

The threads are all holding up well. Yeah it has definitely gotten a little wet over the years. I've always dried it up as soon as possible after. Only "flaw" is is that leather wears over time but it's not so much a flaw as a characteristic of all leather wallets

Yea no rips or anything. Just normal leather wearing. Like a nice patina over time
