my dad was a big beef cattle farmer when i was young. He use to give the steers the left over potatoes and chips from herrs potatoes' chips factory with string beans from Hanover and cookies and molasse's with left over malt liquor from Michters Distillery in Newmanstown. It was a huge feedlot operation at the time. I learned alot then and will never forget.

I have been watching footage of grain farming as that is what my family has done but, I was interested in seeing how other crops are farmed. Like others we gardened potatoes and it is nothing like farming them full time. I have watched a few of your videos now and I am impressed with how you have done so many different jobs. To my eye you have excelled at each. My mother and sisters were not involved with the farm work and I wish that they had as I think that that would have been a good thing. We were all involved in the gardens and the chicken and pigs I believe. Being a full participant in the farm like you are is wonderful to see. Thank you for providing an incite into this and giving my memories of my youth a boost!!

I was 13, 14 or so moving pipe in South Eastern Idaho all summer, then come spud harvest, we'd all do whatever we could or had to do, I think I had done it all until I seen this video, but I did drive machinery, help grade and pull cull, drive many loads to the CO-OP with no power steering, an AM radio and weather that included snow in September and mud in October and I don't recall anything as cute as you in all of the time I spent in those fields, thanks for the memory jog

@brianog5267 here in Iowa, some people see farmers as rich, lazy, mizers who collect government welfare and subsidies, and don't "share the wealth ", and pollute the environment. Usually these people live in town and have no clue where food comes from beyond the grocery store shelf. The rest of us who grew up in rural areas know otherwise.

Thank you very much for watching! When you’re moving around the cold doesn’t bother me. When I have to be still in one place then it gets pretty chilly! I appreciate you leaving me a comment. Happy new year!
