Sirius & Regulus | Black Flies

Maybe you were the ocean when I was just a stone.
I planned this project since the movie King came out. Everything takes me too long, I know. But I am kinda proud of this. I even added the text, which is difficult for me, I always think my text will spoil the whole video.
It was very hard to include everything between these two brothers. They wanted to love each other so badly. Regulus couldn't save Sirius from their parents and Sirius could not save Regulus from dark forces. And that's their biggest tragedy. Yeah the death of Regulus is pretty tragic, but the greater tragedy is that they never reconciled and Sirius never learned thruth about Regulus.
I was very hesitant to add Marlene, but she had great manips with Regulus and I wanted to show how he could felt about her relationship with Sirius. Regulus and Sirius saw many marriages without love in their family and they thought very long time its bad to put love before family.
Also you could notice I added some clips with Black sisters. Who knows why? Something is coming? Perhaps...

Oh my God. I am crying. The story of Regulus is so tragic and sad. The saddest thing is that Sirius loved his brother and he believed that Regulus had died like a coward, when he really died in actions of the greatest courage. I see Regulus and Sirius videos so rarely! I love how immersive The Marauders era and the world can get and I love it when editors explore relationships they had outside of their group. These brothers have such a tragic story, you're right they wanted to love each other so much but neither thought they could shield the other from the life they were living and it must have pained Regulus so deeply to have Sirius have the relationship he wanted to have with him, with James and his other friends. He must have been so lonely you portrayed his loneliness and just his resentment, envy and this longing towards his relationship with his friends so beautifully.

what the hell it was so unexpected The first word that comes to my mind after watching it is 'organic'. I felt like you've thrown me into their messy lives, into the most private dramas and feelings that the Black family shared. I felt like sneaking and watching something so intimate and dark and tragic. I am always in a deep deep awe at how you manage to operate with emotions and deliver the absolutely perfect mix of scenes and voice overs. When everyone says snape was most complex character, my first thought is always sirius. C'mon this man went through hell along with remus... just because the main story covers their life in smaller bits. I dont think sirius even had a normal childhood... upbringing by narcissistic parents is not very easy to deal with. Also with those bits.. it's so well covered why Sirius behaved so with kreacher. If snape can be thought to be a brave hero even after his abusive behaviour towards kids... sirius grew up in that house and hated it to core... and treating kreacher that way had it's own reason related to his childhood days.... I feel snape and Sirius r just 2 sides of the same coin ... with totally opposite lifes by birth , but equally appalling upbringing and sadness...Snape didnt have anyone... sirius had everyone and lost everyone.

This is so well said. Even though we lost Sirius fairly early in the series his presence was felt throughout, and there were still so many hints about his past dotted in the books after he died. I always think the same thing about him in comparison to snaps

Holy mother of sweet grapes....I think I scared the daylights out of my family because I may or may not have screamed when I saw the title. Oh you did an exceptionally gorgeous job on this one. The tragedy and the abuse the two brothers went through, how betrayed Regulas looked when Sirius left, the bitterness building between the two...honestly I could go on and on. The casting for Walburga was excellent and I may have shed some tears when Orion was beating and hexing Sirius. The utter look of heartbreak from Reg was too much. AND I LOVED THE INCLUSION OF BLACKINNON IN THIS!! The friendship between Marlene and Regulas was so wholesome 🥺💖❤😭💔

Sirius is undoubtedly one of my two favorite characters. Remus being a close second. And I cannot express what I felt. I always thought the bond he shared with Regulus was deep, profound even. This is beyond words. I feel like your edit has moved something inside me, something I didn't event know existed. I'm pretty sure I'm crying at this point. It's tragic how they felt apart, and died in somewhat the same quest, stopping the dark lord. It's also tragic that they didn't had the time to reunite with one another. Sirius left thinking his way of thinking was an oddity in his family, whereas he left the little brother that was just too scared to say he somehow felt the same. But I still manage to think that blood is thicker than water, family never really grow apart, especially siblings (some exceptions apart). I'm sure Sirius and Reg will be bonding in the afterlife, it may take some time (Blacks do have a huge ego), but Reg will have the brother he always wanted and Sirius will reunite with the one he never cease loving...

This video is just so magical and it really makes my heart ache. Their relationship is perhaps the most underrated in the whole saga and also the most real. The fact that Sirius never discovered that his brother sacrificed himself still haunts me to this day. This is really beautiful, the clips fit so perfectly well together. The black family is my fave wizard IG family ever and you made the black brothers justice. I love and totally okay for the fancasts, even if for me 30s Helena is the only young Bella (but for me Katie is okay, is just don’t fit 100% book pre-Azkaban Bella and has wrong color eyes) and I prefer Rosamund as Cissy, but like I’ve said the fancasts is so perfectly and I love it to much. Oh, Merlin, I loved this so much. This video was absolutely perfect and exactly how I imagined these two would be. I was so happy to get this recommended to me as I'm a huge fan of the Black family. They're honestly some of the most complex and interesting characters of the series and any content I get for them is absolutely great. I swear the fancasts of this video are literally perfect. I would not change a thing about it. I love Timothee Chamalet as Regulus and of course Ben Barnes as Sirius. And although they were only somewhat in it, the Black sisters are so incredibly perfectly casted. I've usually always been disappointed with Narcissa's fancast in videos like these but Sarah Gadon is absolutely flawless for her and I'm just so happy to find a video that does my favorite character justice. Kiera Knightly honestly just is Andromeda in my mind and Katie Mcgrath's Morgana is absolutely Bellatrix. Just everyone is so great. The song choice was splendid and the visuals are excellent as well. This is honestly probably my favorite video about the Black family as of now and I've seen A LOT of them. I'm so happy to see more of Regulus, especially since he's only had a couple of tributes and he's such a great character that it's disappointing not to see more of him. And of course, as Narcissa and Andromeda are my two favorite characters of the series, I will certainly be looking forward to hopefully a video about the Black sisters as well!!! Just incredible job, I absolutely loved it.

Gotta admit, I wanted to to hate Timothee as Regulus but you won me over! Especially with THIS song... ouch. I like how you looked at the dynamic of Regulus & Sirius & James. I feel like Walburga was always off her rocker and it was Sirius and Regulus together against the world, until Sirius went off to Hogwarts and met James. oh my gosh this is amazing, usually edits like this feel totally disjointed and dont really portray much of anything, but you made it actually feel like the characters were in the same world, interacting and telling their story. I think Sirius is always portrayed as brash and cool, but i like how this has moments of him feeling small and scared which he absolutely would have. Also timothee as Reg was something I never knew i always needed. Aristocratic, yet very much the little brother who struggles to do the right thing until he does. Also Andromeda. THIS BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES ITS PHENOMENAL!! Basic editing is so difficult, I can't IMAGINE how much time, effort, and skill you have to find, fit, and combine all these scenes from different movies to create Regulus and Siruis' story 😭 LITERALLY a work of art !

I'm blown away. This is so amazing! The story of Sirius and Regulus is so sad and I love the way you bring it to life here. Your editing is brilliant. All the scenes and the song fit together perfectly. It looks like a real film.
