One of my legs is almost an inch longer than the other. I think it has an effect on my hip shimmies. What do u think? Will i get it or should i quit
@FemOnlineDance5 ай бұрын
Firstly, it's fantastic that you're exploring bellydance! Having one leg slightly longer than the other can indeed affect your balance and the way you perform movements like hip shimmies. However, this doesn't mean you should quit-not at all! Bellydance is very adaptable and can be tailored to suit different bodies and abilities. For your hip shimmies, you might find it helpful to focus on engaging your core more actively, which can help stabilize your movements. Also, practicing in front of a mirror could provide visual feedback, allowing you to adjust your posture and shimmy technique accordingly. Remember, every dancer brings a unique flavor to their dance-what you perceive as an imperfection might actually add a special quality to your dance! I encourage you to keep dancing and to embrace the unique qualities you bring to the dance floor. If you feel uncertain, consider working with a dance teacher who can provide personalized guidance tailored to your body's needs. Keep shimmering with your shimmies, and let the dance flow naturally! 💃

Thank you for sharing! 😊🙏 Try to keep your knees slightly bent and relaxed while shimmying, and practice slowly at first before gradually increasing speed. You'll get there! 🌟💪
