The flashback scene is a good example as to how Belly is an unreliable narrator. She automatically assumed that he went for the girl but he actually went to win her Junior Mint cuz he’s seen her eyeing it all the time. You can clearly see how he was hurt when she didn’t come back as well

Even in the series when he's "looking at the girl" according to belly, you can clearly see that the bears are behind her. So yes, he did go to the ring toss, just for Belly. He was always like that even with the crystal unicorns he bought her for her birthday. But that's on the books.

Conrad and Belly are meant to be. I use to be team Jere but now I’m team Conrad. I can see that they truly care for each other even if it hurts. I think Jere is better to be best friends with Belly. Also he dosen’t handle situations very well, I understand and completely agree that he’s hurt. But for Conrad, he handles situations pretty classy. Even though sometimes he bottles up things. I understand that feeling cause I also went though that too. I feel like that’s definitely something he can work on. I also am hoping that I can see more of Steven and Taylor scenes because they’re so positive and meant to be with each other. They understand what it means to be in a relationship. Lastly, hopefully Jeremiah and Conrad can talk with each other more and open to each other honestly. Even Susannah was hopeful of that, I hope they can fulfill it and come to the realization that this whole love shouldn’t keep them apart. Truly it’s Team Conrad cause he’s classy, not a baby, and has good indie fashion. Belly seems to have fun with him and have deep conversations. With Jeremiah I think he just needs friends. The reason he wanted to go to that stand was because he had seen how much belly wanted the polar bear all summer. He spent $40 winning it for her and was upset when she didn’t come back. He’s the one who taught her to dance, got Junior mint for her, the glass unicorn they showed in the last episode. I also think him telling her he likes her better with glasses was him saying he liked her before her “glow up.” He taught her about infinity one summer when they were much younger and he remembered it to buy her the infinity necklace for her birthday years later. It can be argued that a teenage boy doesn’t buy a teenage girl a gift like that if there weren’t romantic feelings involved.

The look on Conrad's face when Belly took the giraffe instead, it breaks my heart 😭Its quite shitty of her to assume that Con only went with her for another girl, I didn't really like Belly in Season 2 because it felt like she was kind of messing with the boys a bit. Like, if you have feelings for someone and then you don't, but they still like you, don't go off finding another boy to keep you company, especially if they're brothers. I HATED the scene where Belly went "I don't want you to like me I need you to want me" I'm not really sure if this accurate. I was team Jere at first but I feel like he's using the fact that Belly and Con are not together as an advantage. I mean lets be honest, walking into the person you love kissing your own sibling! I'm team Conrad and I think he deserves better, not someone like Belly who hops around between those two and then getting jealous if you're with someone else, considering that Conrad had to keep all the family issues to himself hoping that it would help Jeremiah keep going. I think Belly just NEEDS set her mind on someone, I think she and Jeremiah are better off as friends, I mean she did chose Jere but who knows...I'm also hoping for season 3!!!!

Jere and Belly are just friends. That’s the way they should be there just comfortable enough to think they can make it something more but they don’t. They’re not in love with each other. Technically for us it isn’t supposed to feel like a flashback. We do t know what happens the year after the summer everything fell apart. This was just a way to catch us all up from Susannah’s passing, to the break up between Conrad and Belly. We wouldn’t be able to understand what’s really going on now if we would have missed some of that. The whole time you’d be wondering “ What happened when Belly told Jere it’s over” “Why did Conrad and Belly break up?” And a bunch of other stuff…

ok ... i am not a fan of how this season is paced! firstly the first 3 episodes that goes back and forth in time... but now with this epi 4 it makes it clear, this season has a pacing issue. it's basically just scenes of people talking. like scene: talk - and cut. the first season felt like everything happened so quick. you never knew what would happen or where the day would take you. truly a summer vacation and had a clear story thread. now that there has been a death, obviously things had to change, but the heart of this how feels totally off. whoever is the director this season, doesn't do what season one did. season one was magic. fun. romantic. heartbreaking. this season feels like just a bunch of slow paced scenes focused on dialogue. nothing spontaneous or interesting happens. it's very oddly told.
