Great video. Those kids would mostly be in their 50s now. Imagine that

Don't know why I suddenly thought of this song, but I'm glad I did. I don't think it got that much play at the time...but it makes me want to go back to that time, just for a day. 😊

@@michaelanthony1342 Thanks for that, I saw FGTH at Newcastle city hall around that time so it's possible I could have saw Belouis then and not realised!

The year this video came out I was a 14 year old Italian boy with 3 friends who went to Framlingham College in England (Incredible place, it was Chai Summer School). One time they took us to this amusement park which was absolutely amazing to us and we had a blast. When we returned home to Italy some time later this video came out shot in the same park, we recognized it, it was exactly that, it seemed incredible to us! The world was huge then and randomness seemed really absurd to us. What good times, what music!

Only just discovered this song whilst listening to random 80s songs on Spotify recently and it blew me away! I like the video as well I could picture that amusement arcade having lots of old machines in there back in the day.

This song is just great. Sadly you never hear it here on the radio in Germany. Just found it on KZbin.

Been enthralled by this video ever since I saw it many decades ago. Still gives me chills for some reason. I love the choreography too. The kids really displayed memorable dancing skills. How I miss the 80’s.

For some reason, I thought your songs were from THIS century! They all still sound "new" anyway, they're so original.

I am so hooked on this song, I bought it years ago, but I am in love with it again. I just love the suit Belouis is wearing. It would be fantastic to do a documentary back to the town and find the people who starred in the video

This video is very special , I love ladies dancing, The song is very special. I relate so much to the music made by Neville Keighley/ Belouis Some. I wish I was the Drummer of his band I can play all his songs on Drums

'Some People' should have been a much bigger hit in the UK. I don't know how high in the charts it got but I don't think it went top 20 unless my memory fails me. I thought it was a great song at the time and deserved to be a hit. I taped it off the radio as my local commercial station played it a lot but I guess Radio 1 did not back it sufficiently, a prerequisite for a major hit in the eighties. I have just read that Anthony Head released his version that coincided with the re-release of the original. He did backing vocals on The Circle And The Square by Red Box, a fine album and one of the quirkiest of the eighties. Although obviously completely different songs, 'Some People' reminds me a bit of the vibe and style of another lost eighties classic, 'Don't Walk' by The Big Supreme.

Some people I try not to talk too fast Like you do when you fall in love But some people let their passion scream And some people understand their dream Life was so simple then A kind of playtime You made it easy then We had a great time Some people dance cheek to cheek Some people dance Life was so simple then A kind of playtime You made it easy then We had a great time I take you somewhere different It's only me can see the change 'Cause some people are tied to emotion And some people understand their dream Life was so simple then A kind of playtime You made it easy then We had a great time Some people dance cheek to cheek Some people dance Life was so simple then A kind of playtime You made it easy then We had a show time Some people dance cheek to cheek Some people dance Some people dance cheek to cheek Some people dance Some people
