my theory might be that beloved juice might be an anti-depressant since teh side effects are wack af. there is always a warning paper when you get anti-depressants that say, Call the doctor immediatly IF you are losing memory, hardly eating, and I forgot the rest.. These anti-depressant is those for both anxiety and depression which is a very dangerous combo because it can also cause the person to have schizophrenia, so who knows for sure. just my theory that's all. also, the mom seems like the type of parent that will say anything mean to their children, and gift them small things to make them feel like they are "loved" and "cared" and that leads to manipulation at its finest. From emotional to physical abuse and then they repeat this same process again and again. Parents may often part the child and thier friends to never be seen again and will likely force them to be "friends" with a kid they choose for that child. That's why the lamp just kills themselves and the mom said "no worries. i'll get you another one" as in she'll find another friend of thier choosing for the kid. sadly this game hits close from home to extremly ngl.
