Beloved SE Portland bakery says they will stay open through Valentine’s Day

Their September announcement that they had close after serving Portland for nearly 37 years brought customers out in droves to get one last treat.

They have the best. However the prices are just so high, my family just cannot afford to buy any longer. I'm sorry they're closing, best luck to everyone. With the cost of monthly bills, it was some times a struggle but worth a delicious treat .... 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Good luck God bless

As a life-long resident, I've never heard of Jacivas,, so I suspect they need an advertising program. When 'Roses' closed, Jacivas would have been a natural alternative, had we known it existed. It ain't over 'til it's over.

A good Kosher bakery is certainly welcomed. I bought some warm fresh baked bread from a major grocery store last month, but eww it tasted like chemicals and cleaning products.

Its sad to see another business close......what happened to portland? It used to he heaven on earth.....now its anything but....
