A very useful tool. I have used this feature in the past to estimate slack and tension on a timing belt in a traveling sprocket assembly.

Thank you! Thanks this is just what I needed to have pointed out, to start exploring this function. Great straight to the point example for those with necessary experience to start making these types of mechanical assemblies. For those that don't 'get it' you will need to understand part files and assembling them with physical mates in Solidworks assembly files. For those that say this is a 'bad video', why post about software you do not use or understand?

So you can fix the length of the belt. Is there any way to simulate a belt of fixed length that moves with a mobile pulley? Say if an idler pulley was adjusted to add tension/slack to the belt.
