My grandma told me my uncle used to get possessed all the time when he was about 16 and thats why he was baptized to control the lwa, neither of my grandparents were religious but my grandmother read la taza and my grandfather used to have dreams with san Miguel telling him how to heal people 🙏

I've been told by my preist that I am a horse for the lwa when I told him I have seizures and when I explained my expirences when dealing with the seizures he made it apparent that I look more into 21 divisions knowing that my aim was to learn every aspect of voodoo that I can in this lifetime. Plus I before I got to this point I already knew I had to do what I needed to do the right way in this life before I even knew of voodoo

I have another 4 questions bembesito Can you be possessed by the loa without initiated? In my theory the answer is yes but you won't have control over the loa Can you serve the loa that you love the most without hosting the ceremony? Which ceremonies do you have the ability to host most ceremonies without being initiated? Can you get married at a Voodoo ceremony without being initiated?

Very interesting. The way you refer to a lwa coming down too hard, sounds a lot like what some Lukumi in a bembe might say (without investigating) 'se cruzo el muerto'. Have you ever had an experience where the wrong kind of spirit showed up to the party?

Oriate yes this is the description. In most traditional vodou lineages be it haiti or dr there is an order that is followed to saluting loa. The loa are supposed to come only as they are called. So unlike in Osha that we may be singing to Elegua and Obatala starts to come. The reason for this is that in vodou there are designated caballos. The people mounting are the owners of the bayi/altar or house, or people close to the house that are invited to mount. So it rarely happens that a wrong spirit comes in dr or Haiti. In some houses if a loa not being called comes they are kindly told to leave and come when saluted. So usually people that are let to mount is because they have certain capacity. Now there are many instances that some loa come when not saluted but they come within the rite or because they are related to loa being called, but usually goes by order.

Oriate also gede may interrupt sometimes cause they are pretty crazy lol. Now if they come too early they are told to leave and come later also. In reference to wrong spirit like tradition wise or muerto, that doesn’t happen in dr or Haiti. People are pretty clear on those lines and muertos rarely to never mount in a loa feast, only in a very extreme case I would say that happens. Here in the states it’s a different story. You have many traditions in one place and mixing so you get people from other cultures doing feasts with no knowledge, or people from other cultures might come and think it’s something els etc.

Hey bro. I’m not sure if I got mounted but on Memorial Day I had a massive headache along with eye pain. I fell asleep and I think I saw eshu. He was jet black skin wise and his eye were like white fire. He was just sitting in a meditative position on top of a Boulder/rock and he was just watching me & I was watching him. He didn’t speak neither did I because in the dream/vision I still had the headache. Ever since this happened I’ve been intrigued with this information I’m Dominican. What do you think this might’ve been?

Gracias por los vídeos Bembesito. Tengo una pregunta. Te agradecería mucho si pudieses responder a mi pregunta. El primer misterios que se me presento a mi atraves de un sueño fue San Lázaro (Papa Legba). En ese sueño el me dio un mensaje y fue desde ahi que yo empece a recibir mensajes y a soñar con otros misterios. Eventualmente termine estableciendo un altar. Es desde ahí donde yo les rindo tributo, rezo y mantengo una comunión con ellos. Cabe destacar que no soy iniciado. Pero lo que te quería preguntar es sobre los linajes en la 21 División. Si, el Legba que se me presento fue San Lázaro. Esto significa que pertenezco a un linaje Haitiano o Asson?

Saludos y gracias hermano. El san lazaro es usado por muchos como representacion de legba en Haiti no solo en el linage assogwe. Es algo mas regional que de linage. yo te sugiero que buques de una persona que sea mayor para que te ayude a desarroyar tu camino es esto . Muchas veces lo que tratan de hacer las cosas solos le va no muy bien.

El problema es que vivo en Washington, D.C. Aquí mayormente se practica Osha o la Santería Cubana, asi que no conozco practicantes de la 21 División. Sie rose ah ok great question. Well the point is to carry tradition, it’s a mission one is chosen for by them, ancestors and family elders. In some cases one becomes the custodian of the family tradition or misterios/loa. If one chooses not to work this or carry mission there are things like aplazamiento done to appease the loa and leave the person in peace. It’s usually very hard though for a chosen person to really get rid of this fully.
