It really does depend on your overall application. Masters may stand out for someone whose GPA wasnt as high but not make a difference for someone that has nearly perfect GPA and extracurriculars.

Im planning on doing an accelerated program from BS to MS in Biochemistry which is in total of 5 years do u think its worth it instead of a 4 year BS in biochemistry? I do want to apply to medical school afterwards

Hi! Thanks for your question. If you want to get your master's in biochemistry and you enjoy the study of biochemistry - you should complete the master's. We just don't suggest you do a master's to simply increase your chances of getting into medical school.

Hi Ahmed! Thanks for your question. Unfortunately, there is no way to really shave off years for medical school. However, you can certainly do a program that's 3 years long, instead of 4.
