joon was right. as jin's sort of 'counterpart' of their team/group, the two wings (oldest and the leader), who has the most power over all of them, i believe the reason why the other members were able to excel and show more of their potential is because he chose to be by the sidelines. kim seok jin from 2010 is the same jin from today who only wants to support, make them happy and do his responsibilities. he does not seem like a very ambitious person and sets his limits into a considerable level. he also seems to be happy over simple things and feels very secured and comfortable with his choices in his career and goals. he does not want to fly very high and is like the humble ground of bts that pulls them back whenever they are steering to the wrong places. i am an ambitious person myself and respect yoongi, jimin, hobi and joon for their hunger for great things but i also have so much respect for people like jin, the kind that you have to look back to and make you wonder, "how the hell are they so happy with just what they have right now?"

this man's entire being always makes me want to cry. he's so pure and brings so many people a lot of joy and yet it feels like he hides so much behind his smile. i loved him first while watching run bts and saw how funny and charming he was and then i got whiplashed by his songs because they're always so sad. i hope he knows that he is loved by many all over the world and we admire and believe in whatever he does. i think he's so stressed about the upcoming enlistment and even said in his vlive that he doesn't even know what day is it anymore. here's to hoping that something good may come out from his time away in the military, that it gives him stability and structure, and some space to sort out things in his head and his heart. then he'll come back stronger and happier, allowing himself to widen his circle, find more friends, and stretch his talents further. he can do so much more and deserves so much more than he thinks he does. thank you for this edit! really wishing he sees works like this and realizes how much we love him.

This is such a lovely, well-made video, ty so much for making it! 💜🥺 I wanted to correct something about the "Awake" portion though, because according to what RM said in his live album walk-through for "Wings'" Jin didn't actually write the first two lines(Bang PD did, the rest of the song is written by RM), what he DID do was compose the melody for the chorus (AKA. the parts that go something like "Maybe I, I can never fly, like those flower petals over there, wings, like other things, are impossible"), which I personally find even more impressive! Said live with RM is my only source though, so if there's another instance of them talking about the process behind "Awake" and saying something different I'm sorry!
