That is the premise of the show, him having 10 aliens, but it also comes from his last name being Tennyson, plus the reboot is the first time since Alien Force that he only had 10 aliens, also the way the games usually work is they only include an alien if they can naturally think of an ability for him, they would have Rath do climbing if the landscape of the game was flat, for instance.

Normally, Ben 10 does indeed have 10 aliens, and throughout the series he gets to 15 or something like that. But... In this game I guess they just didn't have the budget or the creativity to justify puttting the accurate amount of aliens he should have. Did I explain myself? The thing is they can only use the season 3 aliens since this game takes place in season 3 if you look at Ben's Omnitrix and some of the aliens in the season either have the same abilities as other aliens or can't be well translated into an open world game format

It's a mixture of three things, during the original series Ben was only ten years old, he started off with only ten aliens available to turn into, though he gained more later on, and it's based on his last name, Tennyson. I guess this game could only think of six very different archetypes for their gameplay, so they went with only six aliens.

Initially, Ben 10 is just a nickname - his full name is Ben Tennyson. But it just fit to the fact that his first Omnitrix gave him 10 aliens. However, throughout the series he gains many more aliens (if you look at the end of Ben 10: Omniverse, the last TV show for Ben 10 aside from Ben 10: Reboot, he has over 50 aliens). So really, Ben 10 doesn't refer to the fact he has 10 aliens, so he doesn't always have exactly 10 aliens in games. Hope I helped😁

(Fun fact 3 of his aliens are more powerful than Alien X which is state by the creator of the show)

Funny story blitz, hes called ben 10, but in reality it was confirmed that he actually has over 1mil types of alien DNA in the omnitrix, and in the future timeline hes only master 10k of them. Are we ever going to see all one million, absolutely NOT. No show could EVER stay running that long, but the implications are still fascinating and can lead to a TON of speculation about what some of the other unknown aliens might be.
