Gigli, Daredevil and Pearl Harbor. Three absolutely terrible films that harmed his career for years. Daredevil being one of the worst comic book films of the 2000's, Pearl Harbor being a film with great production value and cinematography but an absolute ass of a script was maybe the most damaging as the technical mastery of that film ends up highlighting on how absolutely terrible that script is, and Gigli is just straight up one of the worst films of the decade He is a talented actor (and a really good director) but those three films basically gave him an image of one of the worst actors in Hollywood, which he absolutely is not

LOVE Ben Affleck, always have ... He is brilliant. His creativity is endless. Very underrated and tortured by paparazzi for all the wrong reasons. Once his confidence level rises and he feels 'settled'' there will be no end to his artistry and gifts to us. Like Johnny Depp and RDJ, some humans are just walking art 🎭 🎨 and with that brilliance comes challenges. We LOVE you, Ben!!!

Ben Affleck might be "the actor" with the most balanced filmography of all, he has done as many number of great movies as he has done pretty bad ones. The scale might be tilted towards more good movies now more so than before.

DC messed up Batman. Ben Affleck was perfectly casted as Batman, and the sad thing is he was really interested in keeping true to source material and delivery the best Batman movie. But DC interfered and made it like the first Deadpool by Reynolds in Wolverine origin.
