Great first attempts, but if your going to use silicon oil, you need to clean off all the oils before you varnish your paintings or the varnish won't cover the areas where the oils are. By what I understand, you can use baby wipes to clean off the oil. I personally don't use silicon oil or any other kind of oils in my paints because I don't want my paintings being overtaken by cells. I think you both did a fantastic job for your first time at paint pouring. I can't wait to see more. Have fun. 🙂
