It's so nice how all the other kids get involved with the gift by helping unwrap and to explain some of the functions. The kids are getting so grown up. They are all beautiful children. Ivy looks so much like her aunt Jinger. You are truly blessed.

Wow! I have to give big props to you Jessa and Ben. You have clearly done a fantastic job with your kiddos. To have all those little ones so well behaved while one child gets gifts and attention is amazing. They all let the birthday girl have her special time, they clapped for her and sang for her and in general seemed really happy for her. I didn’t see any evidence of one kid trying to take over or have a fit because they weren’t the center of attention. Great job parents!

I love candles, would be interested to find out which scents are favored the best. Love watching your children interact, they are awesome. Spurgeon & Henry are great big brothers. Ivy is at a great age to show her how to hold pencils and crayons. They are all very sweet!

She’s 5. She should have a proper pencil grip by this age. Her incorrect pencil grip at such a late age is the product of homeschooling.

I'm a first grade teacher in a public school and I still get students that don't have a proper pencil grip even after a year of Kinder. After 30 years of teaching my opinion of homeschooling has changed. If you can do it and have a good curriculum with support from a coop I think it can be great. These kids get 1:1 attention from their mom and can move faster through their curriculum leaving them time to do other important things during the day like play. In my room it's a ratio of 1:27 with me trying to meet everyone's needs. And now a days there are a lot of special needs. I would work on that pencil grip and try to break it now before it's too hard to break, but as far as homeschooling goes, with the right parent and social interaction within their church community and support from other homeschoolers, I think it's a good thing for this family. What I see in the public school system is not what I would want to expose my kids to if I didn't have to.
