Whenever Lorene and Michael would do a scene the entire set would go dead silent. This father son relationship was something so unique and different at the time for television.

I'm late just now seeing this Beautiful Tribute to one of my favorite shows & with one of my all time favorite George Strait songs showing the love between a father & his son . I enjoyed Pa Ben's relationship with all 3 of his sons but this relationship between Ben & Joe was my absolute favorite of the 3 ♡ And the main reason I liked the show then and the same reason i absolutely Love the show now that I'm older. Your right I agree Joe was Ben's youngest son and it showed.
