Guess what !!!! Scott Bakula will be back as Sam Becket the new hologram ! They change bodies the once that return was the first time traveler , Ben forgot to tell Hanna there was a previous traveler , so she designed the formula to take the traveler back the first one

I think I get it now. When Addison Leaps to bring home Ben and it does not work and now, they both are in the past. Ben completely changed the future. Had he not changed the future they might have been able to bring Ben home, but that would have meant the other guy would have leaped and Ben probably be dead.
