I have a theory: “Palagi akong nananaginip, at paggising ko, para akong nagluluksa sa pagmamahal na hindi ko pa naman nahanap.” - Ibig sabihin, the Daniel speaking this didn’t know of the marriage and the lost child. Meaning, hindi ito yung Daniel na naikasal kay Kathryn. “May nalimutan yata ako. May naiwan sa daan. May biglang paggaan ng mga balikat ko at hindi ko naiintindihan. Pero sa sobrang gaan, masakit.” - This just confirms our first theory na hindi nga ito si married Daniel. He’s searching for something na hindi niya mahanap. He feels “incomplete” kumbaga. The story went on with how Kat and Daniel lost their child and eventually, lost their marriage. Tapos sa first and end scenes, Daniel in those scenes seems like (1) wala siyang maalala about the marriage and the child and (2) iba yung tingin niya kay Kat. Ikaw pa rin sa susunod na habang-buhay.” - This exact timing shows Kat and Daniel in a table talking together. So in conclusion, the Kat and Daniel from start and end scenes are REINCARNATION ng Kat and Daniel na married in the past life. Na their love transcended time and space and kahit nasa ibang mga buhay na sila, their past lives make them dream of each other and hanapin ang isa’t isa kasi yun talaga ang gusto ng tadhana. okay this is my interpretation of the mv: So diba there are three scenes. Yung nakaitim sila tas nagaaway, yung nasa dagat, and yung magkausap sila sa table. Obviously, the song and mv shows soulmates meeting each other in different lifetimes and even in astral world or yung dreams. -Now, I think yung scene na nakaitim sila and nagaaway is from their previous life since they are soulmates. Yung nangyari is parang hindi nagwork out yung relationship nila. And I think yung main reason is namatayan sila ng anak. This also explains yung lyrics na, "baka sa susunod na habang buhay". Their hoping na, maybe, when their paths cross again, baka okay na ang lahat, and magworkout na yung relationship nila. - Second, yung ocean na scene naman. Ito yung dreams na sinasabi ni dj sa unang part ng mv, kaya kung mapapansin nyo, mej dreamy yung feels sa scene na to. Pero take note, ito ay sa present life na nila, so ito na yung reincarnated souls nila. Napapanaginipan ni dj si kath, pero hindi nya kilala kung sino yun. All he knows is yung pakiramdam nya everytime na gumigising sya is, he's missing a love that he never even had before, kaya sinabi nya yung line na, "at paggising ko, para akong nagluluksa sa pagmamahal na 'di ko pa naman nahahanap". Pero kaya yun yung nararamdaman nya, kasi nga they've been together sa past lives nila, kaya meron din nung scene na parang naghahanapan silang dalawa sa dagat, kasi nga panaginip lang yun. Fun fact: dreams have meanings, ryt? And dreaming of oceans or waves daw symbolizes deep or strong feelings and emotions. So baka yun yung nararamdaman ni dj. Kaya meron din yung scene na frustrated si dj kasi hindi nya alam bakit ganon yung napapanaginipan at nararamdaman nya after gumising. - and yung last, yung naguusap sila and sinasabi ni dj yung panaginip nya. This is still on their present life but they finally met each other again. Remember yung line na, "ikaw pa rin ang pipiliin kong mahalin sa susunod na habang buhay". Kaya familiar and madaling narecognize ni dj si kath, kasi nga he's been dreaming of her and they're soulmates, and sa kahit anong lifetime pa yan, they will keep on finding each other to continue their love story. here's my own understanding of the story. at the intro, Daniel was saying "Palagi akong nananaginip, at paggising ko, para akong nagluluksa para sa pagmamahal na hindi ko pa naman nahanap." at first, not a single idea pops in my mind. then he said, "may nalimutan yata ako, may naiwan sa daan, may biglang paggaan ng mga balikat ko at hindi ko naiintindihan. pero sa sobrang gaan, masakit." and that's when the idea of them being reincarted hits me. he was trying to say that something's bothering him, that he's dreaming about a certain thing, that he's trying to search for that 'something' that was along time gone already. in short, he feels incomplete. and then the flashback went on. showing us the Kath and Daniel falling deeply inlove with each other, creating memories, losing their child, and eventually, losing their marriage too. and there goes the scene where both of them was facing each other. but the thing here is, Daniel was looking at her strangely. like he was trying to identify the woman across him, like he was trying to look for a certain reason why it feels like missing someone he haven't met at all. that proves my theory here. so in conclusion, the first scene was them seeing each other for the first time after being parted and being incarnated as other persons, and goes on with them asking each other "sino yung nasa panaginip mo?" and both answering "ikaw." the lyrics, "ikaw parin ang pipiliin kong mahalin sa susunod na buhay." says it all. it's amazing, right? their love remained despite of them being in a different time and place already. their feet found its way to each other's arms again, their past pulling them back together again, them recognizing the warmth they both used to share, them choosing to love each other again, and basically them trying to give everything another shot all over again.

So this is my interpretation. They were lovers, she got pregnant, they were so happy until she had a miscarriage. When that happened, the relationship started to crumble down, they had fights and these fights eventually led to them breaking apart. The sea symbolizes paradise, it symbolizes heaven. In the part where they seem to be so lost, alone, I think that it means that they’re looking for something that they do not know. Both of them eventually found each other in the part where they were sitting down and talking to each other. Daniel said, “Palagi akong nananaginip, at pagising ko para akong nagluluksa para sa pagmamahal na hindi ko pa naman nahahanap.” It was going back to the memories that he had lost. They found each other without knowing that they are looking for each other. They have been reincarnated, hoping that in the next lifetime, it will finally last until the end.

I think gets ko na “What if every time one dies, they go back to their first date with one of them carrying memories from their previous run?” - Severo That scene where they’re drinking coffee and Kath asks Daniel kung sino sa panaginip nya is their first date. Only thing is ung “panaginip” na sinasabi ni Daniel is actually their previous run. That’s why he doesn’t look as happy as Kath, ksi it didn’t work out for them the last time. What DJ was describing sa monologue nya in the beginning is the feeling of knowing what happened in the previous life but you don’t completely remember it, pero naaalala nya ung pakiramdam. That’s why he felt the pain of the love he hasn’t found yet (which he did in his previous life). And the scenes on the beach na hindi sila magkasama was them sort of in “limbo” ung in between their past and next life, desperately looking for each other. Ung scenes na magkasama na sila was them finally overcoming whatever drove them apart in their previous life. There’s this belief ksi that we all keep coming back (rebirth) until we finally overcome every obstacle that made our last run unsuccessful. And when we do we reach paradise, that’s when we stop the cycle of rebirth and suffering. (Look up Ultimate goal of Buddhism) This was brilliant storytelling! And almost changes the feeling the song carries! Mas intense and mas malalim!

so here is my interpretation about the music video: diba si dj yung unang nagkwento ng panaginip niya, tapos si kathryn nakikinig lang tas tinanong niya "sino yung nasa panaginip mo?" tas sabi ni dj "ikaw." then nagflash na yung masasayang moments, yung masasayang moments (naka yellow sila since yellow symbolizes happiness) yun yung panaginip ni dj then diba may nagfaflash na parang malulungkot na moments (mostly nakablack sila since black represents grieving for someone who died or sorrow ganern). my lolo died year 2005, until now lola is still at the grieving pace of her life. sometimes i’d see her cry at night looking at the sky trying to reach the starts. one night i came to her because it makes me sad that she have to cry by herself. as i sat down beside her, she said “alam mo ba, ilang years lang kami magkasama ni lolo mo pero sobra sobrang mahal ko sya” i asked her bakit hindi sya naghanap ng bagong asawa to fulfill the emptiness and loneliness inside her then she told me “kahit ilang beses pa ako bigyan nang chance na maghanap ng bagong asawa, hindi ko gagawin kasi hindi sila ang hinahanap ko kundi ang lolo mo. tsaka binigyan nya ko ng mga ala-ala na sa tuwing tinitignan ko ay naiisip ko na andito pa sya, at yung mga ala alang yon ay ang mga anak namin.” i stared at her because i was amazed so i told her “pero paano if yun ang gustong mangyari ni lolo bago sya mawala?” then what she said made me shut up “hindi gugustuhin ng lolo mo yon, kasi nagsumpaan kami sa harap ng Diyos na sa hirap at ginhawa, sa buhay o kamatayan ay kaming dalawa lang ang magmamahalan.” i wish in their next life, they’ll still meet each other and i hope that God will give my lolo a long life by that time because they deserve to love each other. during this time of their lives or even in their future lives

my mom died 15 years ago because of suicide when dad is away, until now my dad remain unmarried even if we told him to get married na because we are old enough naman. He just told us na ayaw niya kasi uunahin niya daw muna kami. papagtaposin niya daw muna kami ng pag aaral which will take another decade pa. I don't know, but I feel like na ayaw niya talaga ng iba. there's time na sinasabi niya pagkayo kayo talaga then insert niya yong story nila ni mama (which I don't ask that much kasi its a sensitive topic for me or maybe para kanya na rin, kaya avoided sya) na sabi niya di niya daw expected na sila ni mama magkakatuloyan. I was wearing this maxi skirt, I can still remember. It was so vivid it felt so real. We were at the beach, I was sitting under the shade of a coconut tree and it was a bright and sunny day. A cottage beside the coconut tree was full of aunties to whom I do not know in real life, but in my dream, it felt like I was together with them. Some thoughts on this MV Minsan, sa pagmamahal, we try to fight with the waves in our relationship, hoping na maisasalba pa natin yung love but what we didn't know is the more na nilalabanan natin, the more na masakit. Minsan we have to calm too, let the waves bring us where it wants us to go, wag natin pigilan, wag natin ipilit ang hindi para saatin. Sobrang sakit. Kapag naririnig ko 'tong kanta na'to, naaalala ko kung paano ako nagdusa sa pagmamahal na kahit kailan di ko naramdaman.
