Super video Charlie, nice to see it from your point of view! Was great to meet you both in person before we set off at the cars, hope you didn’t mind me saying hello! My plan was to head up Meall Cuanail first too but decided against due to having my dog and the number of sheep dotted about on its flanks, the normal route it was. A fantastic day all around. Thanks for sharing as always, take care. Duncan

Good morning Charlie, morning Mike. Absolutely fantastic, great views all day, but the ones early doors with the cloud adding the drama looked amazing. Its a beautiful area. A few years ago now when the kids were much younger we stayed in the caravan park just a little further down the road at the Bridge of Awe. Have a great week gents, all the best.

Hello, I'm not a great fan of what's in my pack as I feel it's very much an individual thing that you progress too through your walking journey. Obviously, it dramatically changes with the seasons and bearing in mind we are a couple of old farts that need a lot more layers than the mid aged walker. For this particle walk I carried the follow stuff but please remember you can x2 everything as Mike is carrying the same and sharing is the name of the game: 1. Map (laminated A4), compass and gps. 2. Spare inner layer, to change out after the first sweaty top. 3. Fresh mid layer, gilet & outer jacket layer 4. First aid kit 5. Loo roll 🤣 6. Skip cap + beanie hat + buff 7. Choc bars, rice pudding, hot drink, 1ltr cold drink, packet of fruit pastels 8. x2 pairs of gloves + waterproof outer mitts 9. Waterproof over trousers. 10. Gaiters. 11. Walking poles. 12. As a side issue, we also have an understanding of the route, timings, height involved and requirements for the walk ahead. Probably more than what's required on a settled weather day but we've been there and got the tee shirt with regard to the Scottish tops. Hope this helps ? Cheers

Cracking conditions Charlie, very atmospheric but with great views 🏔️🏔️ i noticed in the comments Frank stole my thunder ⚡ regarding Mike and walking so far in front or going to the edge of some of the tops 🏔️ like you said gives a good idea 💡 of the scale of things, great video 👌 and a great mountain range 🏔️ atb Brian 👍
@charliemccartney70553 ай бұрын
Hi Brian, The cloud makes a difference to the blue sky and certainly adds a lot to the videos. Mike adds scale to a lot of the stuff we do which I think helps the video? I find the camera flattens a lot of the landscape and the figure just brings things back a bit. You should experiment with giving Frank your camera occaisionally when out together, if nothing else it will save the walk back 🤣 Take care. cheers
