This kid is extremely special. We've seen many decent talents come through the ranks, then ultimately move on to lesser leagues. Wilson, Woodburn, Solanke, Brewster, Williams, Ibe, Ilori, Hoever, etc. The list goes on. Probably the only exceptions being Trent and Sterling. When the former all had their preseason stints, there was a little bit of optimism. But the thing is, not a single one of them had what this kid has. I can't remember a 16 year old coming on against bayern in preseason and absolutely tearing them apart. Outmuscling, outfighting, and outpacing Alphonso Davies. Where the rest never, doak just has that "it factor". That stardust. That confidence, fearlessness, and ability to get fans off their seats, to terrify defences. He's the only youth player that's got me off my seat every time he gets the ball since Michael Owen. Bar none.

cant wait to see him shine when he comes on. He's capable of terrorising Premierleague wingbacks with his close control, pace and directness. He's a genuine talent. I know one when i see it.

@@tesleemhussein5217 he is different because he is a right footed player playing from the right. cant cut in and shoot like diaz. once he succesfully finds teammates with his final pass, he'll be a real weapon

The problem is, he's that good at getting past players that he ends up in positions to provide end product passes much more often than other players, so there's more to criticise him on than the average player. Others would quickly offload the ball safely, pass back to the fullbacks, inside to the midfielders but doak creates panic, passes defenders and gets in those positions 10x as much as others. The "no end product" thing is just because of this. He picks the right passes most of the time. People watched 2 or 3 games and seen him waste a couple opportunities then went with the narrative that he has no end product. It's just plain stupidity.

That's only a problem being greedy as you say when he's not doing positive things with his play... All his play is absolute positivity why stop him or hold him back, let him do his thing which is destroy any heart in any player he comes across why would you want to change this? Let him do his thing
