Liverpool fan here. So happy to see him doing so well at Boro. He is so quick and his dribbling ability is soooo good and the only thing that stood out in terms of drawback was his finishing which is normal for such a young lad. The likes of Yamal are the exception to the rule. We didn't have a big sample of him obviously at LFC but I warned fellow fans of the impending Doakalypse in his first couple of games.

Wee Doak, I’d never heard of him until i was watching Scotland beat Croatia at hampden and on Monday winning away to Poland, this guy was outstanding in both matches and we wouldn’t have won both games if it wasn’t for him, wot a talent and a star in the making!!

Doak is still little more than a boy. Over the next few years, his strength will increase markedly. Coupled with his incredible pace, he will be one of the top players in the Premier league. He has more tenacity than Saka who plays in a similar position. He also has better vision. Salah will probably leave in the summer but Doak probably needs a hundred games elsewhere to be ready to succeed him.

@@chrisandrews9300 Middlesbrough are just a joy to watch in general, regardless of Doak being loaned out to you. Thought you lot have been very unlucky with results last season and this season with players missing chances and whatnot. Hope Carrick gets what he deserves in promotion.

@@waggna469 Salah is a different player now than he was a couple of years ago. He's lost that explosive pace. He's still fast but not from standing still. He's made up for that by being better in possession and more intelligent with his passing. He's played some incredible passes this season. But, he often is pretty much invisible for long periods. Pops up with an assist or goal and wins man of the match. Which he clearly hasn't been. I don't think we will get much out of him in two years so Doak, hopefully, replaces him and hits the ground running.

He’s 18. 😮 And was involved in three goals in this game, plus numerous chances created, all the while taking out two of their players every time it’s played to him. He also destroyed Gvardiol at Hampden and created the only goal. Knows when to dribble and when to go 1-2 as well, as demonstrated here.

Good prospect, well regarded by Liverpool fans for his short runouts, but still a way to go Still prone to running into roadblocks - combination of Pace isn’t exceptional (will need to beat quicker leftbacks in the Prem) and the regularly commented need to get his head up earlier… to know when to release it earlier Timing wouldn’t be right for him at anfield if Salah leaves this summer , he won’t be ready, LFC more likely to buy new or use Chiesa ahead of him? Next season on the Liverpool bench isn’t what he needs for his development…another season at Boro would be better

@@philbeattie1623 He came out of the Celtic youth academy. Had one start for the Celtic first team. It was difficult to keep him happy and opted to go to Liverpool and the no doubt higher wages. A lot of Celtic fans think he should have had another couple of years at Celtic, where he may have got Champions League experience by now. Good luck Ben. HH
