I keep thinking about the brain. How we have two- TWO pilots in our bodies. The left and right. AGi might need more than one pilot. I’m not smart enough to ponder as to why, but my gut is saying it’s important that it’s not just a single “entity” in charge.

Sounds a bit hand wavy to me, but that is part of the learning process. To some extents the human is brain is a combination of various modules, so perhaps AGI will be the same, rather one large AI black box. There is always another big thing around the corner.

I really like Ben and can appreciate what hes saying. From my pov tho.. wether this AGI revolution is positive or negative is still up and the air and I feel like a lot of the things these AI tech guys like Joscha Bach say are completely arbitrary. All this computation takes a lot of energy and investment that is already needed elsewhere. There's a serious double edged sword we have to face.

@@user-ll7pp7eo8q Artificial General Intelligence is specifically AI systems that possess autonomous self-control, self-understanding and intelligence beyond the scope of whatever training data was used. Language models like GPT-4 are NOT AGI! If you’re genuinely interested, do a bit of research on AGI and how it differs from a trained language model. Hope this was informative 🙂
