Incredible chance ! I discovered your track some days ago. Analyse surgically in Ableton, then I write just now "Tidal Ableton", Few propositions later ... I found this video ! What a chance ! But unfortunately I don't found what I'm searching here. You keep the secret (I fully understand) : 2:55 : I would now how you process the ambiant for this bass. Yes sounds good, but if you turn off the 2 return channels ... The groove and fat ambiance goes hugely down 😅 That is what I was searching here 🥲 Explain the 2 return channels Delay & Verb. People don't speak about it but ambiance is very important and you design it perfectly ! Sick Track !

Only recently discovered you after hearing this tune on Cool FM NI, blown away! So many nostalgic sounds in there, like Hi-Gate and so on. Brilliant track mate!! I’ve said for years the music is too clean now, you need some of these frequencies clashes going on for the extra harmonics, that’s what made the music sound warm and full with minimal layers. Today is over engineered and saturated, genuinely can’t listen to it. Bravo mate, keep it up 💙

You didn't say anything about mixing and mastering except that clashing is good sometimes, but with such prominent synth lines vocal 99.999999% of the time will be fighting for space too much, so NO LIMITING AND/OR NO CLIPPING? It's better to structure your video to for example elements/transitions, mixing and mastering.
@BenHemsley_2 ай бұрын
There wasn’t much mixing techniques used in this tune except basic EQ and saturation. When I produced this I focused on picking the right sounds. There wasn’t much to mix! (We actually attempted this recording 3 times 😂 So I forgot what I had mentioned and hadn’t so unfortunately some stuff was missed out)…. But the stuff you mentioned that was missing in the video really isn’t that complex. Basic EQ
@BenHemsley_2 ай бұрын
I will note to structure the videos in that way though…. Would be a lot easier to follow. Cheers for feedback 👍🏻
