2:11 ... Sirak, just repeating what he has heard. He did not know Ben Hogan. He was not a friend of Ben Hogan's. Hogan treated golf tournaments as if he were going to the office. He took his "job" VERY seriously (in his own words). Away from the tournaments he had the reputation of being very friendly to the people he liked. He did many free clinics and many that he was paid well for. Journalists act as if their word is the last word on something. They are delusional and wrong about that. Don't listen to journalists as if they have actually done their home work. Do your own homework and prove them wrong ... with facts, something they are very unfamiliar with. Long live the REAL Ben Hogan!

He was, is, and always will be an example for any person, in terms of inner strength and utter determination. It's never over until God Almighty says it's over....and Bantam Ben knew that. He is sorely missed. Today's golfers...the majority of them anyway, have no class. Ben, had class!😊

I never saw Ben play. I've read, saw and heard commentary that he hit it close. But, what is surprising is that he doesn't appear to be a great putter. I'm not a professional golfer, but the swing of the putter is much easier for me that the entire golf swing. Did he lack some kind of feel. Was his approach to golf too mechanical? Vision problem? Anyone know?

He could still putt pretty well. You don't win 9 majors and 60 matches without it. He's no Tiger at putting but not bad either. Tee to green he's the greatest by far. When you have the ability to get the ball so close to the hole consistently you don't really worry about putting as someone who puts the ball 15 plus feet away.

hogan pulled off many brilliant stunts as well as victories. and, one of the best stunts was the pivot scene in follow the sun when the young kid tells him to use his legs as a pivot. obviously that never happened in real life. and, even today they still don't know how to use the legs as a pivot, and i doubt they ever will.
