Really really outstanding DJ, saw him in Belfast when he was virtually unknown outside of Germany, and he was a really nice guy, spoke with is at the end, we then saw him with Marcel Dettmann when the two of them played together, and he came in to the crowd to dance when Marcel was on, we saw him last year, and to be fair he is really big now, and he hadn't changed, still a really really nice guy, pleased to see it hasn't went to his head.

I was there for a week (working) and didn't see any fights, no stabbings (unlike that fucking joke of a SHM gig at Phoenix Park)....Life is made up of people that fucking love music, and it's really chill, non-threatening vibes. One thing though, you get cunts going around going through empty tents looking for stuff on the monday when everyones leaving.... I caught some wanker in my tent going through my bag, and my mate got a few things stolen as well. The thief was pretty mashed, and actually let me lead him down to the security tent and they took it from there. I didn't lose anything... All in all, a worthy festival by irish standards!!

Der von "früher" war einfach organischer und vor allem viel schöner anzuhören! das kann man sich auch mal normal geben, aber hört euch mal Klangkünstler an. Oder Janein. Something really important happened here. It took a few years in perspective to clarify it. There was something readily identifiable in the playing and the atmosphere at the time of publishing which struck. It was raw and accurate and really clean. Borrowing from a lot of what was before it and combining it with this city and the sound which popularised it, and rightly so. I guess its something to do with its rawness in the end now looking back. I am so glad that boiler room has functioned as a meter and time stamp for the progression of this culture.

Why does Boiler Room always have trouble with their audio quality? I hear huge drops in volumes and clipping in almost all their video's at some time. You would think there is a team of professional audio-technicians there but it doesn't sound like it. Maybe there are some huge complications with recording 1 hr (of DJ-sets) on location I've never encountered but I find it strange,

Max Ligtenberg I would imagine it has something to do with the fact that this is streamed live (which is supposedly the whole point of boiler room), and its the live recording that is put up. So if you have hundreds of thousands of people trying to watch live stream in HD and high sound quality its gonna lag out to hell. But even then they should maybe look into having separate live stream and recording...
