Today, farmers can not find any immigrants illegal or legal to work on the farms. These farmers are paying top dollar for hired help, and still can't find help. 15-20 years ago immigrants would just drive from farm to farm looking for jobs, now illegals don't feel they need to do farm work because they get welfare and jobs at so many other places. I grew up in farm country in NW Ohio. Tomatoes were a big money crop. I worked summers on one farm and the local canning company when I was old enough. We had swarms of migrants that picked tomatoes. In the 70's those jobs went away with picking machines. Very little is picked by hand. They are lying.
