To answer Ben’s question: Under Canadian law, people can report their observation that someone is dangerously disturbed, and that can lead to someone being not permitted to have or acquire firearms. In this case, I believe it’s been reported that the shooter’s own parents had expressed such a concern - but no system was in place to act on that effectively.

The police said when interviewing her father he said that she was trans. To me someone who identifies as trans from female to male she would have had a males name, been on hormones would have been living as a man and so on. Let's talk about the fact that Aiden Hale was emotionally unstable after being traumatized by an evangelical upbringing and that specific evangelical school long before becoming trans. On the gun community side of things no one ever once thinks guns aren't weapons and tools, no responsible gun owner treats their guns like toys doesn't matter if they own a small 22lr single action or something big like a civilian variant of a M249 with a binary trigger. No one is saying the trans shooter is the real victim, and the kids aren't. Literally no one Ben. I'm trans. No one i know is saying that shooter is anything else but a monster. Including me. I hope he's burning in hell. The kids are the victims in every way here.

No matter how ya twist it, gun access is the issue. Dems say it’s the guns. Repubs say it’s mental illness. Either way it’s the access to them. Better laws about who can access them would solve the issue no matter what. When will Shapiro stop looking and sounding like a clown?
