Every time i hear his name i think back to the time Colin Cowherd called him a top 5 player in the league, during the same period every single pundit criticized Giannis for his flaws while praising Ben even though he was a poor man's Giannis in every sense of the word. Wemby's rookie stat line is significantly better than Lebron's, even moreso on a per 36 minute basis. Wemby led the league in blocks per game and had twice as many rebounds per game while playing 10 minutes less per game.

Even if he could get 5 million next year, if I were him, I would take the minimum and go to a place that would use him in a way that wouldn't push him out of his comfort zone. Maybe a Denver (where he would get scoring opportunities close to the basket) or Phoenix (where they have enough scoring). If the difference in pay is insignificant compared to his legacy.
