They both used to be so pretty, and sweet, and bashful. And they had the best romantic chemistry and connection that deserved more time and attention. Respect to the current and former actors, but even in the 2020s these two are the only legit main Ben & Johnny I acknowledge.

I would love for someone who was writing/producing this s/l at the time to explain to fans how it went so far left and didn't come to anything. Ben/Johnny was perfect on paper... Back then Sam Strike was blamed for leaving early and not wanting to commit to a gay romance s/l, but in hindsight that was clearly very unfair scapegoating and a copout excuse (Strike did a short gay s/l before this one, and the role of Johnny was later recast anyway).
