Haha thanks Kev! I make them for the big telly to be honest, just can't get the big bass sounds from a wee phone speaker 😁 Would be the perfect spot for a camp and far enough from population centre's for some proper hillside karaoke 😂 Thanks! Kris.

Haha thank you very much! ☺ It's definitely worth the walk. Plenty of spots to pitch near the summit too if you're planning on summit camping. Enjoy!

Love a walk up Ben Venue especially at this time of the year. Colours in the forrest and on the hill are spectacular 🍁🍁. You’ve put me in the mood to revisit again soon.

@@ScottishMountainGoat your welcome, there's so many documenting their hiking experience and most are hard to watch, but I appreciating your style and extra effort 😀

This was one of my favourite videos you’ve made. It felt like watching a little movie. Your attention to detail is wonderful, everything you think of down to light on the dark path. The graphics are seamless and helpful to orient myself. And of course…the scenery. Just breathtaking!

Thank you very much Sarah! The scenery in these places definitely makes it easier to capture some beautiful sights! Much appreciated 😊

That was brilliant kris. The time lapse sun rise was incredible. I’m enjoying that chat to camera you’re doing now too. Atb gordon

Cheers Gordon! I'm glad it worked out, the uncertainty when you setup a time lapse shot like that, waiting and wondering if the sun is going to rise in the right place 😅 A great test of will power not to touch adjust the shot 😁 Thanks again! Kris.

Jeezo Kris, what a phenomenal piece or work you have produced - you've absolutely nailed it! An incredible video mate, well done! My experience with the mountain was very similar, my first attempt was from Ledard Farm (my preferred ascent route as it's much more exciting/scenic), reaching the summit in strong winds with little to no visibility and sodden bogs just below the main crags. I returned exactly 7 days later from the same route as you show here, a slow burner with a heavy pack but well worth it as sunset was incredible, the skies were full of stars as I ate my dinner & after camping on the highest point I awoke to a stunning cloud inversion with lovely soft light creating an unbelievable atmosphere to soak in.

Cheers Scott! I got very lucky with the final trip 😄 sounds like you had a good trip! I've heard many tales of Ben Venue in horrible weather, think the mountain is building a bit of a reputation for itself 😄

@@ScottishMountainGoat Perhaps it's time to rename it ;) Aye, they were both great trips for different reasons, but I loved the way you cut from one to the next, masterful transition! Have you studied film by any chance?

@@outlawedlandscapes Thanks! If you count watching too many films and too much youtube as studying film, then I've been studying for many years 😄 Alot of book reading too. Just find every part of it so interesting and so much to learn!

Amazing work as always Kris. Great quality of production and stunning views. I used to live in West Lothian area for 13 years. Your videos remind me how beautiful and majestic Scotland is. All the best mate and keep up the good work ! :)

Haha so it does! It certainly wasn't welcoming the first trip up it though! 😁 My google translate skills tell me it might be better named "importune" 😀 Thanks! Kris.

What drone do you have Kris? Think your drone clips are unreal. Don't know if you're into winter camping but you're welcome to join us any weekend mate.
@ScottishMountainGoat3 жыл бұрын
It's the Mavic air 2S I've got. If you're thinking of buying a new one though I would probably wait until they release the new certified drones so you can fly it in more places. The drone legislation is an absolute mess just now. I'm not into it yet, but hopefully give it a go this winter. Need a couple bits of kit first 😄
