I love Ben for being an talented actor, and a lovely human being, but he must not have been offered a contract to the new sequel yet. Not even until this day, as he mentioned in Sundance that he has a sense that the creative team may have wiped out the whole settings and started over the story again so he there’s a chance he’s not returning. He might also be sentimental as he was reported to have“split” with his husband after 10 yrs being married. His journey playing Q started in 2012 and also got married same year, I suppose anybody will feel somewhat sentimental if all of those good things eventually came to an end.
