He has it keybound, you just can't see the keybind without him pressing CTRL.

You can rebind your CTRL actionbar to different keys, and use them without switching.

Checkout maxroll or you can just google as you asked there are couple resources that you can really get good atlas trees. And pro tip, don’t just follow the atlas trees try to build your own. Win or lose, it’s you playing the game.
