Been to that area many times but always been in the winter and the Palmasol was closed did stay in the Alay Hotel once which was very good.

Thanks for this! I’m going next week and got a really good deal at the palmasol. First holiday since lockdown. I know Malaga city really well and absolutely love it but still looking forward to staying in Benalmadena.

Cheapest place for a drink Kevin is Rubens exchange, there is a bar with whiskey, brandy sherry and some liquer so can have a wee drink while your waiting to cash your money, for free xxx

I stayed at the palmasol when I was 13 1978 the marina did not exist then the palmasol went straight onto the beach .

@@urchill1 he prefers malaga city. Anyway benalmadena is extremely hilly. Big gap between the town to the cost. About 30 min walk. The train station is up in the town.. Fuengirola is the best. All flat ground. Train station stops in the centre. That is only a few mins walk to the beach. A long straight road /streets & beach. Its a work town..good Spanish atmosphere. Its not a tourist trap compared to benalmadena which is full of pubs
