@@thomasmacdonough288 True. CM Punk was doing it 'just to see if he could.' Joe was the #2 guy in the world at 125 for quite awhile, then he got effortlessly beat down by this dude (it genuinely looks like Figgy is barely trying), dragged to the edge of a portal to hell, and to top it all off, shrieks himself awake on live TV. Just an awful series of events generally, and for him to be almost contemptuously batted away from his life's ambition...man, I'm glad he had supportive and loving people around him.

@@travismcminimy8187 Awful series of events for sure, especially with the added context that it was his 5th title challenge making him perhaps the most perennial contender of all time, only to get quite literally beaten to death in his final bid. The fight island docuseries did take a bit of the sting off the loss by giving background to the support of his family and his team but before that I was honestly amazed how the guy didn't off himself after this.

I come from a long boxing background, and had a little wrestling experience, so I was used to taking strikes and getting dazed, I was used to fighting through exhaustion, was ok with someone being on top of me and in control of me, but when I started training mma, and was introduced to jiu jitsu, that was a whole new world that I couldn't get used to. I had been dazed a number of times boxing but never knocked out, and the first time I got choked out i was like fuck that! Lol. But same thing with feeling that tension of an arm bar where I'd feel like my arm is gonna snap, that was just a different type of struggle for me. I never fought competitively, and maybe real competition and that adrenaline would've boosted my will, but in training, I'll admit, I was a tap machine!! That's why I'm always so impressed with what joe did here, or what volk did against ortega

The problem is he already thought his shit don’t stink and that he was a “perfect fighter”, even Megan Olivi hyping him up like he has no flaws. When you’re that arrogant Joe never mastered his striking game which led to him getting beat tf up and then choked out in front of his girl on ESPN live. Doesn’t get anymore humiliating than that, probably best that Joe just turn in his man card right then and there and get his nuts removed since at this point it’s just dead weight with no use for him.
@9614cp2 жыл бұрын
@Ignis Dudes 5’2 and his girl isn’t that hot, what does her looks have to do with his horrific beating? I wouldn’t trade my life for his either. I don’t think anyone is jealous. He’s not getting paid much and his accomplishments (never been champ) are not worth the brain damage. Hop off his nuts, he got beat down and stop glorifying the life of some mma fighter. If you ever saw how cocky and arrogant Joe was and the amount of excuses he made in the first fight, you wouldn’t be giving him so much sympathy… guys a prick and his girl was hyping him up like some flawless fighter.
