I don't like it when the rocks are painted. If it works, and I am not convinced it does, it dumbs down the track. When I have ridden tracks with painted rocks, it seems to hurt more than it helps.

Why are they making DH tracks easier, while the EWS tracks seem to be getting harder. (not that its easy, just easier then last year)

@Ganiscol I think making rough sections easier (safer) does increase speed which in its own right makes it more dangerous due to the extra speed. Where as a difficult track slows the pace down, hence lessons the consequences when a rider does fall. I feel that speeding tracks up is grand for TV, however I would rather watch a more technical track like old-school Val d'sole. A real challenge rather then flat out sections with big jumps. Many pros have said that the flat out natural of tracks these days makes it more dangerous.
