Nice!! I also own a Katran and a Krait and find the craftsmanship of these rifles superb. Great shooting PJ and i enjoy your videos as you're always helpful with your explanations and expectations of the equipment. Wonderful stuff, please keep up the great work.

Great video and great shooting PJ! The Krait is a great gun from competition to pests and from big shooters to little shooters it just performs.

It can definitely fit in the shoulder of a youth shooter, and they managed to keep it nice and light so it’s easy to control.

Congrats on the trophy! I live in the Tampa Bay area (not Tampa though) and i used to go down south every week as a truck driver for a chemical company and one customer was Davie water treatment plant and those iguanas would get sucked into the pumps and clog them up, so they had someone come and do a removal and six months later they were back at full force! I have some nice springers and was thinking of getting a nice pcp ( i have an avenger and gamo urban ) and was settled on getting a hw 100, but now i'm not sure if i want to get something like the Krait that would be more adjustable. Decisions, decisions! Also, a lot of airguns stuff comes out of Florida, do we have any competitions in state? Happy shooting.

Thank you for great video and congrats to the awesome second place! Without any custom mods on the gun, it says something about your skills, great job 👏👏 I also use Ryu on my Krait and it is a perfect match for this gun 👍 There is only one thing I dislike on my Krait and that is the way how they designed lock of the buttpad. The screw at the bottom doesn't hold the buttpad 100% reliably when I'm shooting off-hand and I need to push stronger the gun against my shoulder, so I hope they come up with some rock solid solution for next generation of the gun.
@WiscAirGunners11 ай бұрын
I don't know if its the design of the post style buttpad arm that's too blame entirely, or maybe a different kind of screw head, like an ellipse or teardrop head for more leverage, or detents along the shaft of the post might help it be less prone to slipping free or creeping. I agree that this is the first area I could see being improved down the line.

Nice video PJ, congratulations on your podium finish, I know you had to be stoked! I’m really interested in the exact gun. My question is, what kind of power is the L capable of? And is it true that they are shipped with Huma reg now? Thanks
@WiscAirGunners11 ай бұрын
Thank you. Since early 2023, these regulators were made by Huma. At least that’s what I’ve been told and I have no reason to doubt my source. I have not found it necessary to make any adjustments, though adjustments can be made to the power output. With 18 grain pellets I’m in the 920s. That’s typically faster than I’d want to fly them, but they are behaving themselves and I can’t argue with the accuracy I’m seeing. The shorter version does really well with the Hades, which are a little lighter. So that’s the primary food source for that one. I’ve seen people say they’re shooting slugs Successfully, but that’s not really my endgame with this particular airgun.

Nice shooting mister! I've been eyeballing this in .25 being I shoot mostly pellets these days. The other on my radar is the Vulcan 3 🤔 decisions decisions!
@WiscAirGunners11 ай бұрын
Thanks! I can’t say enough about the Krait, but I’ve heard good things about the Vulcan too, or three.
@paavokaleva11 ай бұрын
At first I was between Uragan 2 (balanced valve) and Vulcan 3. Leaned more to Uragan 2 due to fact that in .177cal Uragan has 600mm barrel versus Vulcan 3 500mm and Uragan 2 is not as top heavy as Vulcan 3. But then I looked what else is coming out from Czech Republic and stumbled upon AirMaks Arms. Katran is cheaper but longer and I wanted compact and light gun (Vulcan and Uragan are considerably heavier), Krait is shorter (bullpup). So, for me, the winner was Krait L in .177cal. For .177 a bit longer barrel and bigger bottle helps with speed and shotcount. Krait 400mm barrel and 300cc VS Krait L 520mm barrel and 480cc bottle. (No FAC needed for .177cal where I live, power not restricted).

Thank you so much!I've been looking for a great pcp!I have the Gamo Urban.for my first pcp.Absolutly love it as,it shoots deadly, on target! Just would love more power.. I've been looking into 25.cal. any advice?
@WiscAirGunners11 ай бұрын
I've had time with one AirMaks Arms rifle in .25. It was a Katran and was just as accurate as my .177 Katran was. It was a long bottle version.

What pellets were the best??? How many shots per fill??? This gun is definitely on my short list. I know they were having reg issues in the pass I guess they have straighted those out. Another gun I am looking at is the RTI too....
@WiscAirGunners11 ай бұрын
JSB 18.13 At least three magazines that’s usually when I’ve refilled it. I know in the US the regulator issues caused a delay in their wide release, and my understanding is most of what is out there now has a Huma regulator in it. I have some friends who swear by RTI. I’ve only shot one, and it was nice.
@larryguinn896911 ай бұрын
Do the current models now have a Huma regulator or the factory generation 3 (or is it 4) reg?
@WiscAirGunners11 ай бұрын
I'm told as of the start of 2023 they US models had Huma regs installed. I have a standard shorty and an L and neither have had any problems in harsh environments and regular use and abuse.

Is the Krait pellet fussy or does it shoot most pellet brands and weights with reasonably tight groups or are some groups wide spread on certain pellet brands and weights?

So what you’re saying is…I am not allowed to use my LCS to compete with.😒 That’s messed up. 8 rounds for your first magazine doesn’t make any sense. Guess I won’t be competing with it if I can go this year. That really sucks! I’m very confident with that gun. BTW you finished first against John.😉
@WiscAirGunners11 ай бұрын
Every competition has its own rule-set for speed events. PAC allows semi-auto but requires removable magazines. I can’t remember exactly what the RMAC rules are, and I know the EBR rules are different still…and they have all, or so it seems, varied over the years. Usually it’s some variation of wanting to include at least one reload for every stage, or having the load be enough so a shooter who runs the stage cleanly has a huge advantage because s/he doesn’t have to reload at all.
You never learn, Make videos about rifles not about stupid competition, rifles are for hunting competition is other types of rifles, there won't be many likes on this video.

That was a very diplomatic response to a very closed minded comment..... This is the first of your videos I have watched. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am retired LE and have been playing around in competitive powder burner competition. I am about to jump in to the PCP game and you just sold me on the Krait.
