Very nicely done on that grinder. It did need to be taken down some. It was so confining. Thanks so much for sharing and have a good one.

Nice modification and great custom piece for your shop! It will be handy to have a smaller piece for light duty work. And that Navy manual is so cool, that will be a fun read!

Hi Melinda! Thanks for the comment! That Navy manual is way cool but is definitely not light reading. 😁But it is great for hard core radio geeks like me!

Great modifications Bill. George is a very generous guy. Some of the stuff he has sent me over to Australia is beyond belief. I did a very similar thing as you when I was still able to work in the shed. I had an old powerful grinder that was left to me by my dad which has the wire wheel and fibre wheels,on it. I also have another grinder, strictly for grinding, so swapping out wheels is less of a chore. Totally enjoy your content mate.

Hi Shedman! Welcome back, always great to hear from you from down under! I am sure glad that you watch my videos and comment. G'day mate, best to you, Bill.

Thanks Mark! The U.S. Armed Forces took their radioman training very seriously and for good reason. Thanks for watching and commenting, Bill.

Nice work as usual! I had the complete electrical/electronic training manuals the Navy had, they were outstanding! They ended up someplace else sadly.

Thanks Hiker! This manual that George sent is much more complete than the Army manual I have. There is a wealth of information in that book and I love it. Thank for the view and comment - great to hear from you again, Bill.

You need to keep that book of trig functions with you at all times. You never know when you'll need to look up the cosine of 37.62 degrees!

Absolutely right Richard! None of these newfangled gadgets like calculators for us! Seriously I love those old technical books and I know you do too Mr. Slide Rule Man. 😁

That a great idea. It was butt ugly with that tan color, The grey makes it pop. Very nice job Bill. and you will enjoy using it. I have one I picked up this summer I need to decide what to do with. George seems to buy stuff just to send to people He has generosity plus.

Thanks Dale! I have already been using it for small items, nuts, bolts, washers, and small tools. George is a credit to our community for sure. I love the way he welcomes newcomers like me.

Forgive my ignorance, but I am not familiar with the "fiber wheel", could you please explain what it is made of?
@rollerbaldАй бұрын
Bill, if you google 'fiber wheel grinder' you will get lots of hits. I'm not sure of the composition but you can get varying grits. They are very useful for preliminary polishing and if you want a nice matte finish you can stop after using the fiber wheel. Thanks for the view and comment. Regards, Bill.

Both small grinders don't have enough power to blow your nose hell when you use a 8-inch grinder it's not enough power Eagle Upper Peninsula MI Carnivore and don't take me wrong I do the same thing that you're doing just the way it is with us guys we like to clean stuff up and make them look good

Hi David! The little grinder has been very useful already - I like it a lot. I have forgotten most of my high school and college math so I will not be holding Trig classes! 😁I sure like those old technical books though - just think they are neat!
