Never really knew how important actually feeling the weight in your hands meant until watching Mike's content.. press, pull, and curl, I always try to be aware how the weight feels in my hand during my set, cause slightest change can effect the contraction at the end of the rep.

This video is great… I had been pyramiding the smith machine and pushing my weight and noticed my chest was not Sore even after 8 sets of flat bench. Switched to a hammer machine bench- lower weight- deeper contraction and would hold the weight for 5 seconds and tense up thee chest as I held …next day chest was very sore and felt the burn. No one at the gym will fool with the bench press machines..but I got great results. Thank you!!!

I benched with wrong technique for years and would flare my elbows with a straight wrist. Now after 20+ years of training my right arm doesn’t fully extend due to injuries. Years ago I had to learn how to bench properly as demonstrated here. Yes, my max weight in bench has decreased but my chest development has been phenomenal

I’m glad I hear you saying this Mike. I never understood constantly trying to hit numbers or adding weight percentages. Eventually that would stop or else we’d all be hitting 1000 lbs on everything soon. After a while you’ll feel less tension and need to add some weight naturally to progress. Makes so much sense!

I started training 2 years ago.. mostly to loose weight. Was 250, I'm down to a pretty lean and muscular 180 now. I've had 2 different trainers and while they did help.. The stuff Mike is saying in these videos has made me make more gains in the last two months than I had in the last two years. It's ABSURD that this is the only person I've heard any advice like this from when all I've done for two years now is obsess over body building and fitness.

Over the last 9-10 months, Mike has been a breath of fresh air on KZbin and Instagram. People needed to hear the things he's said in his videos and many listened and Mike brought them back down to earth. Many have changed the way they think about training and the way that they approach exercises. Some are too scared to admit that Mike is right and hate on him. The truth hurts. I'm sure I've watched every video on this channel now.
