About MLB.com:
Commissioner Allan H. (Bud) Selig announced on January 19, 2000, that the 30 Major League club owners voted unanimously to centralize all of Baseball's internet operations into an independent technology company. Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLBAM) was formed and charged with developing, building and managing the most comprehensive baseball experience available on the internet. In August 2002, MLB.com streamed the first-ever live, full length MLB game when the Texas Rangers and New York Yankees faced off at Yankee Stadium. Since that time, millions of baseball fans around the world have subscribed to MLB.TV, the live video streaming product that airs every game in HD to nearly 400 different devices. MLB.com also provides an array of mobile apps for fans to choose from, including At Bat, the highest-grossing iOS sports app of all-time. MLB.com features a stable of club beat reporters and award-winning national columnists, the largest contingent of baseball reporters under one roof, who deliver over 100 original articles every day. MLB.com also offers extensive historical information and footage, online ticket sales, official baseball merchandise, authenticated memorabilia and collectibles and fantasy games.
Major League Baseball consists of 30 teams split between the American and National Leagues. The American League, originally founded in 1901, consists of the following teams: Baltimore Orioles; Boston Red Sox; Chicago White Sox; Cleveland Indians; Detroit Tigers; Houston Astros; Kansas City Royals; Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim; Minnesota Twins; New York Yankees; Oakland Athletics; Seattle Mariners; Tampa Bay Rays; Texas Rangers; and Toronto Blue Jays. The National League, originally founded in 1876, consists of the following teams: Arizona Diamondbacks; Atlanta Braves; Chicago Cubs; Cincinnati Reds; Colorado Rockies; Los Angeles Dodgers; Miami Marlins; Milwaukee Brewers; New York Mets; Philadelphia Phillies; Pittsburgh Pirates; San Diego Padres; San Francisco Giants; St. Louis Cardinals; and Washington Nationals.

For a family of 4 in 1989, this game was probably around $30 including concessions. You get baseball, Crackerjacks, hotdogs, some soft drinks, and free wrestling! Talk about fun for the whole family at an economical price!

What's CRAZY about this whole thing was it "started" at home plate, then went up the third base line. Then gravitates to the pitchers mound area, then back toward third base. Just when you think it's over...BOOM...back to the pitchers mound, up into right field, then to the bullpen area and then back into right field...This was EPIC!!!

@@s.tavares3257 That's the problem. So much was on them to try to break that record, and when you spend your energy trying to rack up all those wins, it later comes back to bite you. Look at the 1906 Cubs. They originally set that record, didn't even win the Series.

This one ranks right up there with the old Mariners-Orioles brawl from around the same time period at Camden. Seems like the Mariners were always involved in the most entertaining brawls in baseball. Like the other one I mentioned, this one had multiple different scuffles break out on multiple occasions.... just when it looked like things were settling down 😂 It was like everyone was calming down, and then suddenly you see bodies start flying again and more punches being thrown and it gets wild all over again like the brawl isn’t going to end 😂

I watched this whole video multiple times trying to figure out why Sheffield got thrown out -- am I missing something? All I see is him pulling his own players out and standing on the periphery.

You definitely missed it. About 10-15 seconds in. Sheff was quicker to home plate then the Pitcher that started the brawl.

He’s black. Gotta take the hot heads who can’t control their emotions off the field. Should have tossed Baylor too.

We went several times from Buffalo NY to Toronto for Blue Jay games. A family of 4 including a bus ride from Buffalo to the old Exhibition Stadium with tickets was 99 bucks! This was 1982, 83…..

This was game 2 of a 3-game series. The Mariners won the game 6-2 and wound up sweeping the Brewers the following night.

Even in the midst of all this, I constantly saw Ken Griffey Jr. playing "peacemaker" the whole time! At 0:55 (lower left), at 4:51 (carrying a Milw. guy on the lower left), at 5:22 (#24 on the right), at 6:16 (bottom), and at 6:43 (#24 at the bottom).
