How are the strength of that benchmades axis lock versus the ganzo axis lock and y-start axis lock?. Regards!.
@AdvancedKnifeBro7 жыл бұрын
+Chinese knives I did a video on this a year or so ago... Benchmade holds up slightly better than ganzo... y start is about ganzo level... none are perfect. Although the Benchmades I've tested recently have gotten better than my original griptilian
@Chineseknives7 жыл бұрын
Advanced Knife Bro Even depending on what model from ganzo, it has a better or not lock up, even models with axis lock. There are not implemented in the same way.
@AdvancedKnifeBro7 жыл бұрын
I would never rely on an axis lock from any of them, to be above failing. I have seen both fail intermittently. That doesn't mean it's bad, because just about all locks fail except for maybe Tri-Ads.

Does flicking it shut dull the blade on a griptillian 551h20.
@AdvancedKnifeBro7 жыл бұрын
I don’t have the H20 variant... however I wouldn’t think so. The blade edge doesn’t hit any metal when closing or opening. If you heard of that happening maybe there’s a defect with the knife. This has never happened on my griptillian
@hiramysumundowalky-talkytv77196 жыл бұрын
you are genious bro---.... answer that shit please: benchamade 551h28 griptilian or spyderco resilence?
@AdvancedKnifeBro6 жыл бұрын
The benchmade. I don’t own the resilience so I can’t say for sure. The h20 has better steel and a better lock, and the resilience is larger with steel you’ll have to sharpen more often

Do you think I’ll have a problem carrying the mini black knife in NY?
@BesidetheDyingFire7 жыл бұрын
Terry Hesticles in the city or in NYS? State laws are pretty strict and you can’t have it showing. Legal blade length is less than 4 inches, but this knife locks so technically it’s not legal in NYC. Rule of thumb is if no one sees it, no one will say anything, and you can easily just slide the mini grip into your pocket and not use the clip so it’s not visible.

BM ought to send a gold class. Seriously, quality review. The world would be so much easier if "reviews/reactions/commentary" channels weren’t complete ass, as in closer to this. Wharncliffe blade shape upon delica makes my pp salute. Plus Spyderco plays ball with Emerson, don’t believe I've seen production BMs with a Emerson opener. Really mad I didn’t pull the trigger on what was BM's cheapest offer on their website for 100 bucks like 3-4 years ago. A pardue. I was going to make it my first BM (bowel movement) but it isn’t made anymore (like the model 42 which I dreamed of when I was like 12, actually would pay 400 for it as an adult but ugg, ) saidpardue goes for 600 on ebay as of last look,

Spyderco compression lock and benchmade axis lock are the two strongest safest folding knife locks on the market. I like them most because they’re fast and you have no reason to touch the blade or put your fingers in the path of the sharp edge while the lock is disengaged for any reason. Genius engineering. Why do you like benchmade? I've asked this a lot because to me benchmade seems super popular but I can't figure out why, they have numerous issues, for example almost every major reviewer has a vid with them commenting on quality control problems. The only answer I've ever received is that "if I don't like benchmade I'm unamerican."
@AdvancedKnifeBro7 жыл бұрын
It really comes down to nitpickyness. Ok blade centering isn't perfect? How does that affect real world functionality? Does it rub? Nope... or maybe it does? what else? Uneven edge grind sometimes? Does it still sharpen easy? Is it terrible or a few hundreds of a millimeter off? I dunno... I am not the picky, man jewelry perfectionist knife reviewer. Some flashlight reviewers also complain endlessly how the beam pattern looks on a white wall. You won't find that on this channel. I look for how it works functionaly... not tiny details that don't affect how I use the knife. Does the lock fail? Is it hard to deploy? How does it feel in my hand. Is it fun to fidget with? Ergonomics? Do those "QC" issues translate into how much I enjoy the knife? If there is a QC issue that hurts the knife's functionality I bring it up. If you're a person who prefers to stare at your blades instead of go outside and use them... I am probably not your preferred gear reviewer. I'm not referring to you specifically... just making a general statement. My Chris Reeve knife pretty perfect from a nitpicky visual aesthetic standpoint, but it's a boring old pocket knife. I have decent collection of Benchmades now. The griptilians aren't my favorite because I think the handles are sort of uncomfortable. Hopefully that explains my philosophy.
